Day 7: Looking westward from my room at the Breiddalsvik Lodge

This eastern coast of Iceland is pretty rugged and farms and houses are spread far apart. You have to be pretty self-sufficient and very weather-wise to live here. Winter driving would not be for the timid. The tiny village of Breiddalsvik (population maybe 1000) is probably about 5 miles down the road.
