The guy in the picture is one of my tour colleagues. We ate a melt-in-your-mouth lamb dinner here and stood on the wrap-around deck to photograph northern lights. They started out slowly and most of us went to bed about 11:30 pm. Then at midnight our tour leader walked up and down the hallway calling, "Pretty good northern lights now!" I got up, put on my hiking socks and a big fluffy robe I found in my closet and went out. The sky was completely lit up by dancing green aurorae. I ran back for my gear and photographed the sky for an hour standing outside at 40F in my nightgown and robe.
